Modesty is part of the Code of the West and any presentation of winnings seems somewhat presumptuous. Show ring performance, however, is one of the primary indicators of perceived value in registered cattle and the Corriente breed is no exception. We do have the benefit of actual individual performance classes in the roping classes at our shows rather than depending solely on conformation classes as an indication of value. We view these roping classes as far more indicative of potential breeding value than the conformation classes.

We would never have made the progress we have without other breeders being willing to sell us high quality stock – such as Pam and Craig Cross, Dan and Bobette Williams, Craig and Liza Nichols, Joe Floyd, Jim Walkley, and the Randy Huston family. We have returned that favor to others in the industry, as shown under the News & Info section “Cattle that have Won for Our Clients”. As they say – what goes around, comes around or runs aground.
